“Don’t worry too much and forget to live.”

“Don’t worry too much and forget to live.” . I spent so much time worrying throughout my 20s. I worried about getting the bills paid. I worried about whether so or so liked me. I worried about my appearance. I worried about not having accomplished enough. I worried about being wasted potential. Etc. . I had to learn and remember two things: #1 – That this too shall pass… all of this. I am not defined by my circumstances and other people’s opinions sure as heck do not define me. #2 – That I still have a very strong say in how my life turns out, even though things don’t seem like it sometimes. . I still worry sometimes over ‘practical’ life things (e.g., bills, savings, health), but then I remind myself that this is the path I have chosen to give myself a fair shot at accomplishing my dreams of making an impact in our world via this passion project. . With whatever it is that you’re going through right now, know that dips happen and are expected in life. The dips will look differently for all of us. For some, it could be financial. For others, it could be circumstantial like we absolutely hate our jobs. For others, it could be that they’re totally unhappy even though on the surface they seem to have everything. . “Don’t worry too much and forget to live.”

I spent so much time worrying throughout my 20s. I worried about getting the bills paid. I worried about whether so or so liked me. I worried about my appearance. I worried about not having accomplished enough. I worried about being wasted potential. Etc.

I had to learn and remember two things:

#1 – That this too shall pass… all of this. I am not defined by my circumstances and other people’s opinions sure as heck do not define me.

#2 – That I still have a very strong say in how my life turns out, even though things don’t seem like it sometimes.

I still worry sometimes over ‘practical’ life things (e.g., bills, savings, health), but then I remind myself that this is the path I have chosen to give myself a fair shot at accomplishing my dreams of making a positive impact in our world.

With whatever it is that you’re going through right now, know that dips happen and are expected in life. The dips will look differently for all of us. For some, it could be financial.
