I’m in a cabin. All by myself. This was supposed to be a hostel. It is, except no one else is here.
If this place had a secure door with a secure lock, then I wouldn’t be so nervous. But it doesn’t.
I’m in the middle of nowhere in Southern Colorado. I’m surrounded by farmland and quiet buildings. The population of this town is about 1,600.
It’s also raining.
I’m trying not to overthink things or think of the worst case scenario. Fear is all in my head. Good thing the police station is just a few blocks away.
I will be making a few phone calls to friends tonight.
