Apparently there are many ghost towns in NV

Searchlight, Nevada

If I wasn’t traveling by myself, I would have parked my car on the side of the road and walked into this abandoned building.

I wonder what this place used to be. I came across it right outside Searchlight, NV which is where Nevada’s Democratic Senator Harry Reid is from.

Searchlight used to be a thriving small town when gold was discovered there in the late 1800’s. Now it’s population is about 500. Yep it was at 539 during the 2010 Census.

I saw lots of mobile homes, trailer parks and joshua trees, which immediately prompted me to change the car playlist to Kacey Musgraves album numero uno Same Trailer Different Park.
